The West End’s newest chamber music series, www.piccadillychamberconcerts.com launches in 2018 with a season of five concerts that presents complete Piano Trios of Ludwig van Beethoven.
The 4th and penultimate concert of the season presents arguably the greatest piano of Beethoven’s output, the epic “Archduke’ trio alongside the exquisite E flat major variations. The remainder of the programme celebrates works by female compsers:. The ravishingly beautiful piano trio by the French Germaine Tailleferre, who was famous as the only female member of Les Six, and a recently completed work by outstanding british composer and current composer-in-residence at the Wigmore Hall, Helen Grime.
Spectacular concert violinist Ruth Palmer, and virtuoso cellist Pavlos Carvalho are joined by concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith in this ‘tour-de-force’ of Piano Trio repertoire for Piano Trio.
