An Evening Of Armenian, Serbian And Bulgarian Classical Music

"We are delighted to invite you to the second concert in the International Concert Series “An Evening of Armenian, Serbian and Bulgarian Classical Music” to be held at St. James’s Church Piccadilly in London Including a completely new program. Following the success and great enthusiasm with which the inaugural concert held at St. James’s in February 2017 was received, performances have taken place in Italy, Spain and Serbia during the last year.

Join us for an exciting new project. A unique, beautiful and rarely heard program of classical music composed by 20th century and contemporary Eastern European composers from Armenia, Serbia and Bulgaria, including pieces for piano solo as well as violin and piano duo, two violins and piano, cello and piano and piano trio. Filled with the warmth, intensity and soulfulness of the Eastern cultures, this years repertoire will include different works to those performed last year, still by Pancho Vladigerov, Arno Babajanian, Isidora Žebeljan and Svetislav Božic. The highlight probably being the rarely played but intensely dark and beautiful Babajanian Piano Trio.
