London Beethoven Orchestra, Anthony Hewitt

In the final concert of their cycle of Beethoven Concerto/Symphony Cycle, the London Beethoven Orchestra present an interesting programme.

To begin with, they look at what might have been had Beethoven lived longer, playing the completion of the 1st Movement of the Tenth Symphony as reconstructed by Prof. Barry Cooper of the University of Manchester from sketches left by the composer.

Following this, pianist Anthony Hewitt returns once again to perform the Choral Fantasy, a work for choir, orchestra and piano soloist. Finally, to conclude the programme, they perform the monumental Ninth Symphony, the Choral.
