Gala Concert

A gala concert based around the first UK appearance of the outstanding young Mallorcan ensemble Ars Musicae, directed by Bernat Cabot, with their British harpsichordist Timothy Roberts and, fulfilling a musical dream of the players, iconic soprano Dame Emma Kirkby.

Baroque classics by Purcell, Telemann (Concerto for Flute and Recorder), Scaralatti Avsion and Pergolesi, together with English pleasure-garden songs by Chilcot, Storace, Arne and John Worgan, who was an eminent organist of St Botolph's in the later 18th century.

Also featuring St Botolph's award-winning bellringers, and Matthew Dunn at the church's superb, fully-restored Baroque organ.
