Lent Concert
The Merbecke Choir Lent Concert this year includes two masterpieces of the English Choral repertoire: Thomas Tallis's settings of the Lamentations of the Prophet Jeremiah (a must for Wolf Hall fans!) and Herbert Howells' intensely moving and personal Requiem. Alongside these beautiful pieces will be further works by Tallis, Alonso Lobo, Victoria and Hidegard von Bingen.
