Young Storyslam: Live

Southbank Centre and StorySLAM:Live are looking for the next Jacqueline Wilson.

If you’re a budding young writer, StorySLAM:Live can give you the opportunity to be heard.

Ten schools are competing for the title of Young StorySLAM:Live 2016 champion. Watch as a finalist from each school tries to impress our judges with a three-minute original story.

If you are a teacher and would like your school to take part, please contact Bea Colley at bea.colley@southbankcentre.co.uk. Teachers are invited to attend a StorySLAM:Live INSET session on Tuesday 12 January (£30 per teacher) in order to prepare their Story Slammers.

We help you to stage a semi-final event at your school, and then invite the winner to read at the live final during Imagine festival. You can bring more than one teacher from your school to the INSET, but we only have spaces for ten readers from ten schools in the final.

Participants should be in Years 5 and 6.
