Sorry Thank You Please

Wry prick Tom Basden has brought a child into the world (not on his own to be fair) and is appalled by the state of the place.

A show about blame, ingratitude and our various, largely poor, attempts to keep each other happy. His first solo stand-up show in over a decade, and hopefully the wake-up call you people need to finally buck your ideas up.

Shrewdly capitalising on the success of his last two critically-acclaimed shows by doing something utterly different ten years later, this is a lo-fi, honest hour of stand-up from a man in the twilight of his 30s trying to convince himself that he’s a good parent, while not actually being at home at the time.

As seen in After Life, Plebs, Quacks, W1A, The Wrong Mans, BBC4 sketch show Cowards and feature film David Brent – Life on the Road; creator of hit plays Party, Holes, The Crocodile and Joseph K; co-writer of Plebs, Gap Year, Peep Show, Fresh Meat and The Wrong Mans; Radio 4 regular in his sitcom Party and ‘Lord’ in Tim Key’s Late Night Poetry Programme.

Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer winner in 2007 (those were the days), British Comedy Award Best Breakthough Act nominee in 2013, nominated (but cruelly overlooked) for three Chortle Awards and three BAFTAs.

Running Time: Approx 60mins
