'Born in Portugal in 1480, Ferdinand Magellan would go onto to be one of histories greatest explorers. His story is one of immense strength, virtue and bravery against phenomenal adversity. We can thank Magellan for much of what we know about the world we live in. His life of travel is probably the greatest story ever told.
