Number 1, The Plaza
The London premiere of GetInTheBackOfTheVan’s Number 1, The Plaza.
A hybrid of cabaret, live art, comedy and theatre, Number 1, The Plaza offers the audience 'an evening with' Jen and Lucy in their own home which rapidly deteriorates. Using (and abusing) renditions of songs from hit musicals, and giving a whole new meaning to ‘dirty dancing’, Number 1, The Plaza is about entitlement, property and privacy.
Offering the audience a visceral and uproarious experience, the show pushes boundaries and tests the audience to see how far they are willing to go. The show proved a hit at Latitude Festival and Edinburgh’s Forest Fringe and on tour throughout the UK in 2014.
