Made In Britain?
A panel discussion on the future of manufacturing in the UK.
Robots have improved efficiency, 3D printers and Hackerspaces are turning everyone into Makers, and websites like Etsy have opened up new market places. We now manufacture high-value goods such as pharmaceuticals, electronics and aerospace rather than the heavy industry of the 1960s.
As manufacturing goes through a revolution, how can the UK adapt to the challenges, and how can we build on our proud history to make a manufacturing powerhouse fit for the 21st Century?
Speakers:
Peter Marsh (Chair), author of 'The New Industrial Revolution: Consumers, Globalization and the End of Mass Production' and former Manufacturing Editor at the Financial Times.
Will Butler-Adams OBE FRGS, Managing Director of Brompton Bicycle.
Jake Dyson, Founder and Owner of Jake Dyson Products.
