Would You Have Been A Suffragette?
What price would you be prepared to pay for gender equality? One hundred years ago, after a long and arduous campaign, some women got the right to vote in the UK. The Suffragettes and Suffragists who fought for these rights risked their jobs, families and sometimes their lives for what they believed in, and to this day we all benefit.
In this session, we discuss whether sacrifice is inevitable when fighting for change, being passive receivers of other people’s struggles for justice, and what lengths we’d go to for our beliefs.
