Sunspots
A poetic, musical and visual exploration of the long and eventful life of the Sun.
Is the Sun a god, a man, a woman, or simply a giant ball of hydrogen? Does the sun feel afraid of dying? And what does it really think about us, and the solar system it is bound to care for?
Simon Barraclough (Poet in Residence at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory) is your guide on a journey that mixes fact and fiction, with moments of horror, humour and joy.
Created in collaboration with musician Oliver Barrett and visual artist Jack Wake-Walker, Sunspots uses words, film and songs to reimagine the life of our neighbourhood star.
Produced by Penned in the Margins
Supported using public funding by Arts Council England
