For an October event to remember, Literary Death Match joins forces with the London Literature Festival with a night rife with literary wizardry and hilarity.

The literature- and comedy-rich evening features four authors who read their most electric writing for seven minutes or less before a panel of three all-star judges.

The judges then respond with brilliant commentary before choosing two finalists to compete in the Literary Death Match finale, a vaguely-literary game to decide the ultimate winner.

Literary Merit - Chris Power, writer, reviewer, author of the Guardian’s Brief Survey of the Short Story blog
Performance - Sofie Hagen, award-winning Danish comedian, writer and podcaster
Intangibles - Nish Kumar, comedian, Foster's Comedy Award finalist and host of Newsjack for Radio 4 Extra
