The poet hosts an evening of talks exploring questions of diasporan identity, interspersed with poetry readings and stripped-down music sets.

Drawing from julianknxx’s network of musicians, fashion designers and other creatives, the event places African diasporan artists in conversation with each other, centring the contributions of African immigrants to London life.

julianknxx & Friends is a living archive of Black British experience, exploring topics that encompass finding and communicating your voice as an artist to navigating the multiplicity of cultures held as Africans in the diaspora.
