Philharmonia Chamber Players

Throughout his life, Dvorák wrote a significant number of chamber works. Adding a double bass to create his Second String Quintet, he expanded the instrumental palette of the ensemble to match the feel of a symphony orchestra, liberating the cello and providing a fuller resonance.
