China And The Two-Child Policy
We investigate how China’s new two-child policy is affecting women’s lives in this talk.
China’s controversial one-child policy has been phased out after over 35 years and replaced by a two-child per family policy. We look into whether this new policy puts pressure on women to have more children, and if it will result in a gender balance as the Chinese population grows, with society favouring boys less.
