Badass Girls From History

Get inspired by the courage, initiative, intelligence, willpower and all-round badassery of some of the greatest girls in history.

We now know more about extraordinary women from the past and the present, but what can the actions of pioneering, trailblazing girls teach us about how to change the world?

What can we learn from the bravery of education activist and Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai, or the creativity of Mary Shelley who was only 19 when she wrote Frankenstein; the athleticism of swimmer Ellie Simmonds OBE who won her first Paralympic medal aged 13; and the activism of Fahma Mohamed, one of the youngest doctorate-holders in the UK in acknowledgement of her campaign work to end and assist victims of female genital mutilation (FGM)?
