Emmylou Harris

Emmylou Harris appearing at this event

One triple-platinum. Three platinum. Five gold. Nine Grammys. Two CMA Awards. Billboard's prestigous Century Award. Countless Best of lists. Twenty-seven albums in total. What has made Emmylou Harris such an enduring artist is her commitment to her music. Her 1996 Contemporary Folk Grammy (for 'Wrecking Ball') saw her best Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, John Prine and the Chieftains proving that great songs, well sung and sensitively arranged can still connect on a deeper level. As part of 1997's Lilith Fair, Harris found herself exposed to a much younger audience who responded by substantially increasing sales in each market she performed.
