Friends Week

Join us for our first ever Friends Week – a week packed full of exciting events, activities and tours to give our Friends the chance to see behind the scenes at the Royal Academy.

What really goes on behind the scenes at the RA? For the first time, we’re giving Friends unrivalled access to the Academy with a week of special events and tours. Friends can enjoy a life drawing class in the same seat as JMW Turner, take a tour of the RA Schools studios, see the oldest item in our Collection and meet a Royal Academician.

From tours of our Library and Archive, to finding out what really goes on at the RA from our trusted Red Collars, there’s something for everyone at Friends Week, plus the wonderful opportunity to meet Royal Academicians including Norman Ackroyd, Eileen Cooper, Jock McFadyen, Chis Orr and Bob and Roberta Smith.
