Protest - An Exhibition By Phil Maxwell And Ben Slow

'Protest' is a collaboration between photographer Phil Maxwell and street artist Ben Slow.

Phil Maxwell has been capturing the spirit of protest for the last 30 years. He has been an active campaigner around issues relating to homelessness, combating racism, and trade union disputes. As a local resident he has also campaigned around issues relating to the so-called "regeneration" of the East End. Phil has accumulated a visual history of struggles in the East End that has added poignancy that could only come from someone who has been closely involved in a range of campaigns.

Ben Slow is best know for his large scale street portrait murals of everyday heroes, local people, which can be seen throughout the world and East London

This is a unique collaboration by a leading photo journalist of his generation and an emerging and talented street artist.
