Kyle Eastwood, the American multi-talented double bassist, composer, producer and son of legendary father, Clint, has forged a dynamic musical path. His artistry is eclectic, refined and, by exploring an ever-widening range of musical influences, crosses over beyond the boundary of jazz. He has run a parallel career as a composer and arranger on several of his father’s Oscar nominated films while creating truly contemporary and melodic jazz.

He has flirted with electro-jazz cool, delved into 70s-tinged “smooth jazz” and gone “arty” urban chic, yet this latest phase in his career sees him with a powerfully swinging quintet of young English musicians. Ronnie Scott’s is delighted to welcome Kyle back to the club with his all-Brit band to perform music from last years’ Time Pieces – a set that explores Eastwood’s love of jazz from the late 50s and early 60s. Expect an infectious, spirited show of lyrical hard bop full of groove and sophisticated harmonies, plus a lightning fast romp through Horace Silver’s “Blowin’ The Blues Away’!
