Led by rising star saxophonist Phil Meadows and featuring a myriad of award winning UK talent, the twenty one piece Engines Orchestra makes sounds that defy conventions. Uniting London’s most adventurous young classical, jazz, world and folk musicians, the orchestra, a community working closely with other artists to push boundaries and develop audiences for groundbreaking new music, collaborates with the critically acclaimed Phil Meadows Group to tell the tales of his Lifecycles suite.

Penned by Meadows, Lifecycles depicts the situations, tough decisions and life-changing experiences that we all go through.

The music remains highly melodic with elements of folk and classical lyricism juxtaposed by freewheeling spontaneity, blazing solos and rip-roaring grooves.

Featuring today’s hottest young players including trumpeter Laura Jurd, pianist Elliot Galvin, drummer Simon Roth and harpist Tori Handsley with sumptuous vocals provided by Alice Zawadzki whilst Matt Roberts conducts.
