Highly acclaimed post-bop jazz alto saxophonist Bobby Watson worked alongside Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius and Bruce Hornsby before joining Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers with whom he served as the musical director. Max Roach, Branford Marsalis, Louis Hayes and many others sought to work with Watson after his tenure had come to an end and his own groups are no less brilliant.
