Open East Festival

The Barbican and CREATE are bringing the festival 'East' to the North Park on the 27 and 28 July, exactly one year after the Games. This anniversary celebration weekend will fill Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with the flavours, style, creativity, sights and sounds of east London.

Exciting events featured in the weekend include: international music performances on the main stage; a Mini-Travelling Art Circus entitled The House of Fairy Tales which will present magic, stories, theatre and games; the Real Food Festival which will offer world-class cuisine from around the world presented by a number of London’s most famous street vendors and restaurants; the Art Car Boot Fair where East London artists will be signing their art pieces; and Caught By The River which will showcase their passion for music, literature, angling and beer in the Park as they host distinguished musical and literary performances. In addition, the London Legacy Corporation in conjunction with the Barbican and CREATE London will host musical performances on the promenade, family trails, pop up theatre as well as picnics along the river, plus many more activities still to be announced.
