Author, journalist and feminist activist Naomi Wolf revisits her legendary international bestseller The Beauty Myth, 30 years after it first exploded onto the scene.

One of the most talked-about feminist books of the 20th century, The Beauty Myth investigated how images of women were used against us, exposing the beauty and advertising industry and uncovering why many women are consumed by a destructive obession: the pursuit of beauty.

Three decades after its publication, Wolf is in conversation at the tenth anniversary of WOW – Women of the World festival to discuss its groundbreaking publication.

As part of a panel discussion, Wolf explores what has changed in those three decades: how the landscape has shifted, whether the ‘cultural conspiracy’ against women is still in play, and what does and doesn’t apply to Generation Z.
