Taking as his inspiration Ovid's Metamorphoses, Dickie Beau presents a poetic performance in which he further develops his shtick of using lip-synch in live performance to 'channel' remarkable voices from found sound footage, putting a transgressive spin on Ovid's myth of Narcissus and Echo in the process.

With a compelling constellation of vivid contemporary characters in supporting roles, Lost in Trans- is a spacey trip through queer cultural archives. Cyclops, the one-eyed giant, becomes a third eye through which we view the world askew, culminating in a radical re-visioning of Echo, the Nymph, of whom all that remained when she died of a broken heart, and wasted away, was the sound of her voice....
