Austentatious: An Improvised Novel: The Milk Monitors
Recommended by The Times, The Guardian, The Evening Standard and Time Out, Austentatious: An Improvised Novel is an hour long comedy play spun in the inimitable style of Jane Austen – and based entirely on audience suggestions.
An eloquent, irreverent, 100% improvised take on the works of Britain’s best-loved novelist. Performed in period costume with live cello accompaniment, Austentatious is an immersive and hilarious treat for fans of Austen and improvised comedy alike.
Austentatious presents an ambitious story with all the trappings of Austen’s best work: rounded characters, delicate plotting, and real drama.

Austentatious - An Improvised Jane Austen Novel
A six-piece comedy theatre ensemble whose cast includes Cariad Lloyd (Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer Nominee 2011), Rachel Parris (Hackney Empire New Act Of The Year Finalist 2011), Amy Cooke-Hodgson (Olivier Award winning La Boheme, Showstopper!), Andrew Murray (Private Eye), Graham Dickson (The Messiah, Scooter Thomas, The Pride), and Joseph Morpurgo (Monkey Toast).
They performed their theatrical delights to packed out houses in their fair Scottish lands, and won themselves another collection of five and four star reviews, as The Guardian claimed 'one of the most enjoyable 60 mins on the fringe'.
