The pub, in the very heart of Woolwich, is still "unsophisticated and proud of it", but the refurbishments, are proceeding slowly!
After much persuasion Jordon, the governor, has decided to book a few more rockin' bands in on Saturday nights, but the Alleycats still seem to be his favourites. As for us, we love it there as it's always a great party!
Occasionally guest vocalists from our wide circle of rockin' friends drop in and do a couple of numbers. It's the perfect spot for some close up and personal rock'n'roll and there is even some room for dancing! We just ask people not to dance with a drink in their hand.
Drink! Dance! Have a ball! Just try not to dance ON the band!
Band on from 9pm until late (the drinking seems to go on forever!).
The beer is a reasonable price too!
