Never miss another 'Blink-182' show
Blink-182 are set to play two UK dates in August. The US trio will perform at O2 Academy Brixton in London on August 6th and 8th, in a warm-up for their appearances at this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals.
Speaking about the Brixton show, Mark Hoppus of the group says: "We're very excited to preface the Reading and Leeds festivals with this Brixton Academy warm-up date."
This event takes place at O2 Academy Brixton, which has achieved Silver Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Blink-182 were formed in San Diego in 1992 by Mark Hoppus and Tom De Longe, and later joined by drummer Travis Barker. Following the departure of Tom De Longe in 2015, Alkaline Trio vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba joined the band for live shows and plays on the band's seventh album, California.
The band's breakthrough album, Enema Of The State, was released in 1999 and went on to sell in excess of 15 million copies worldwide. Their next two albums, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket (2001) and blink 182 (2003) cemented their position as a pop punk supergroup and the band have sold in excess of 35 million albums worldwide to date.
The pop punksters have evolved and matured on the scene from brash, crude-yet-loveable teenagers to a band capable of taking a more mature approach at things without losing their sense of energy, fun or the infectious hooks that so mark their songs.
