The Australian Girl

Inspired by the life of Louise Mack, the first female war correspondent during World War One, The Australian Girl tells her story from a young hopeful writer in Sydney to a determined journalist who witnessed the German invasion of Belgium in 1914.

Written and devised by Elise Lamb, a graduating student of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’s MA Advanced Theatre Practice (alumni include Duncan Macmillan and Jessica Swale), The Australian Girl is her debut play.
