A double bill based on Stindberg's "The Pelican" and Camus " The Missunderstanding"

In The Pelican, there is a tension that is fuelled by a fire that is held back as long as possible, but which is finally allowed to burn. In that sense Fire becomes a symbol of truth.

In The Misunderstanding, a man who has been living overseas for many years returns home to find his sister and widowed mother are making a living by taking in lodgers and subsequently murdering them. Since neither his sister nor his mother recognize him, he becomes a lodger himself without revealing his identity. Ultimately, his mother and sister kill him.
