Ma, Am I Good In Bed? Maiden Speech Double Bill
Two Aussie sisters, with one very Irish mammy, the Duffys grew up desperate to be good. Good at being smart, attractive, funny, charming. Oh, and really fucking good in bed.
When Ella and Lucy actually started having sex, they quickly realised they weren't especially good at it, or anything else for that matter. The world was more complicated than Ma had let on.
From the bizarre to the beastly, the Duffys revisit their sexistory. 'Ma, Am I Good In Bed?' is a hilarious and honest conversation, unabashed and unfiltered, between two women who just really fucking need each other.
'Ma, Am I Good In Bed?' is presented as part of a double-bill, alongside two new plays from the Maiden Speech festival:
Purple Snowflakes And T**ty W**ks – 15 + 16 December
You follow Sarah through grief, drunken nights, and a variety of sexual exploits in a hilarious and heart-breaking one-woman show about mental illness, sexuality, and friendship.
“A story about mental health reminiscent of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag.” - Savage
Much Ado About Hero – 17 December
Hero is a young woman navigating her way through sixteenth century life and having a rather difficult time of it. This new musical work re-examines Shakespeare’s comedy Much Ado About Nothing, questioning marriage, choice, duty and female friendship.
“It is rare to come across a performer with this much imagination and ability to make the audience see the very familiar through entirely new eyes.” - BritishTheatre.com
