During the early to mid 90s, Manchester's Intastella blended baggy beats with indie anthems and narrowly missed the charts, achieving four top 75 singles before dissolving in 1997. Now lead singer Stella Grundy continues the project with a new line up featuring Karen Leatham on bass guitar, Martin Bolt lead guitar, Ben Knott keyboards, and Ian "Budgie" Jones on drums.
The Intastella sound now draws influences from the worlds of dub, electro, glam, psychedelia and blissful pop with visual projections, narrative and spoken word. Her recent material has seen her collaborate with the legendary bassist Jah Wobble.

Jah Wobble has always managed to surprise, delight and confound his core audience. Never following dictates of record marketing men, he provides continued creativity and invention. A fantastic aural journey through dub, world, ambient and avant-rock music, as Jah paints his entrancingly dark, textural soundscapes.

'A big-beat bar band with old-school smarts, Dust Junkys are headed by the former MC Tunes (Nicky Lockett), a rapper who fronted 808 State for the Top 20 singles 'The Only Rhyme That Bites' and 'Tunes Splits the Atom'.
Lockett formed Dust Junkys by 1995, with Sam Brox on guitar, Steve OJ on bass, Mykey Wilson on drums and Ganiyu Pierre Gasper on turntables.
Struggling to be signed, the band hit the road circuit and gained much praise around their Manchester base. Finally signed by Polydor in 1998, Dust Junkys debuted with the single 'What Time Is It?', then released their debut albumDone and Dusted in late 1998'.
