A Daughter's Geography
Taking us on a trip through the history of poetry’s Black foremothers via their poetic narrations of strength, tenderness and activism, Belinda Zhawi as Ma.Moyo pays tribute to the words and experiences of those who have come before her.
Set to an arresting display of Afrofuturistic jazz, improv, grime & soul from members of Steam Down Collective including Wonky Logic, Benjamin Appiah, Carli Adams, Brother Portrait, Nadeem Gin-Gabisi, And Is Phi and some special guests. This event honours and celebrates some of the revolutionary womxn poets who pioneered and contributed the Black Arts movement and reminds us of the resounding importance of their stories today.
