Praised for their impeccable tuning and supple clarity of tone, The Tallis Scholars are one of the world’s finest vocal ensembles, and arguably the leading exponents of Renaissance sacred music. Directed by Peter Phillips, they present a specially tailored, spine-tingling programme Inspired by Josquin, which features one of Josquin’s greatest Mass settings.
The ensemble will then perform masterpieces by composers whom Josquin inspired: Lassus, Palestrina, and their own John Tavener and Christopher Fox - all chosen to showcase the beautiful sound for which the Tallis Scholars have become so widely renowned.
The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain Fellowship Octet consists of eight of the most highly skilled and multi-talented choral singers in the country. We are delighted to present this stunning group of exceptional young musicians as the opening act for The Tallis Scholars.
