The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE) teams up with the Institute of Physics and the Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford to explore Bach’s cosmic music in their stimulating Sunday-morning service combining a scientific talk and a performance of a Bach cantata.
The Music
This cantata is something of a musical sandwich, with flowing, optimistic first and last movements surrounding sections with darker moods of judgement and fear.
