A rare programme of music by Argentinian-German composer Mauricio Kagel, who thought of his music as theatre, creating both aural and visual elements for his audience to enjoy. Many of Kagel’s works include stage instructions for the performers, from choreographed movements, to specific facial expressions used to accentuate or punctuate the music. This concert is part of the London Sinfonietta’s Turning Points series, presenting music by composers whose output was so distinctive that it influenced the course of music history.
