Join us for a day of fun performances, workshops, and other exclusive events within the new LACF Kids Zone at Kings Place. Suitable for primary school-age children (4-11).

Singing Playgrounds workshop
The biggest hit of LACF Kids last year is this award-winning workshop from British choir Ex Cathedra. Learn and play singing games from around the world, whilst developing musical and leadership skills, self-confidence & turn-taking – all while having fun! The workshop ends with a performance in the foyer for parents and LACF audience.

Tickets for the workshop are strictly limited and are sold separately from the Kids Pass. Book tickets here.

Due to safeguarding, children will need to be accompanied by a parent/carer during the workshop.

Break out the Beats – Beatbox demonstration
Funny sounds, cool noises and brilliant music – take part in this illuminating beatbox demonstration and discover how to turn your mouth into a factory of amazing sounds!

Disney Family Singalong
Calling all kids, parents and grandparents! Get ready for a fabulous family singalong of a favourite Disney song, with Dominic Peckham (Assistant Music Director of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, Vocal Director for the BBC Choir of the Year).

Kidz Alive Gospel workshop
Join this inspirational gospel workshop with Rhoda Morson (leader of children’s gospel choir Kidz Alive) and learn the essentials of gospel singing and performance. The workshop ends with a performance in the foyer for parents & LACF audience.

Opus Jam concert
French Motown soul group Opus Jam brings lashings of cool-factor to LACF Kids 2016. Making their UK debut, Opus Jam will get your feet tapping and hands clapping as they take you on an hour’s breath-taking ride through French-inspired soul, funk and pop. The exclusive ticket deal as part of LACF Kids gives discounted entry to the Opus Jam concert for one child and parent.

Fermata Town foyer performance
Bringing LACF Kids to a stylish close is Boston-based a cappella group Fermata Town, who pride themselves on their youthful, energetic sound. You’ll get chance to meet the group afterwards for that proper festival experience!
