Kamilya Jubran, Werner Hasler, Khyam Allami

Renowned Palestinian vocalist and oud player Kamilya Jubran, and long-standing musical partner and composer Werner Hasler (trumpet & electronics) return to the UK in support of their new album Wa.

With Wa, Jubran and Hasler explore the ‘Wasla’ compound form found in the classical repertoire of Near Eastern music and Western modern and improvised music, discovering new sonic and phonetic territory in the process. Wa is indicative of why Jubran’s is one of the most revered figures for a new generation of experimental artists in today’s thriving Arabic music scenes.
