There was once a happy, hapless King, who had too many accountants and not enough money. The palace ceiling leaks, his crown jewels are always falling out, and his Chief Accountant has just decided that to save the kingdom the King must fire his beloved fiddlers! A tragedy in a kingdom where music is happiness and happiness is music... Can Joachim the cat (distantly related to the famed Cat fiddler who got the cow to jump over the moon) speak sense to the King, teach him how to fiddle and restore both music and happiness back to the Kingdom before it is too late?

Join LMN Wales folk ensemble Calan for a very special interactive musical re-telling of this beautiful children’s story. The performance will last 1hr in total, and is preceded by a participatory musical workshop to enable the audience to get involved in the telling of the tale as subjects of the King.

Suitable for primary aged children and their families, as well as those with special educational needs.
