Saturday Comedy Cabaret: Nathan Caton, Tom Craine, Johnny Kats, Marian Pashley, Dave Thompson
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Nathan is a young black British comic, gigging on both the mainstream and black comedy circuit. His set is highly obsevational, influenced by his culture and upbringing, and also coming from a young person's outlook on life, from the well-known Nigerian traffic warden and the always-disciplining West-Indian mother, to MTV's Pimp my Ride.
'Excellent story-telling skills keep the crowd easily entertained' (Three Weeks).
‘Caton is probably the most exciting young black comic on the scene’ (Fest Magazine).
'Caton's a slick performer with an unbeatable stage attitude and the confident air of someone much more experienced' (Chortle).
'Compelling, well-observed stand-up... He specialises in laidback, on-the-nose material, chopping down fools of all colours, both in day-to-day life and in the media' (The Guardian).
Nathan Caton was named in Ents24's top 20 hardest-working comedians of 2015.

Live at The Electric star Tom Craine is 'wise, funny lyrical'. He has been the Guardian's Critic's Choice and The Times Top 5 Picks Edinburgh 2011.

On the stand-up comedy scene, Johnny has had sold out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He has won several Stand up comedy competitions including the Anglers Tavern 'Angling For A Laugh' hosted by Russell Gilbert and first prize in the same year in the Comics Lounge So You Think You're Funny' (2004).
Johnny was also a support act for American Comedian Dave Chappelle at the Boston Comedy Club in New York City (2004).
'... the frontrunner is Kats for his original style... big laughs' (The Age Newspaper)
'His angles are hilariously inspired...' (Spoonfed, London).

'A superb slice of stand up comedy' (Scotsman). Pashley is clearly a chatty girl, and a chatty comic. She eases her way gently into her set with a few pleasantries, and that pretty much sets the tone. Her routines are cheerfully anecdotal, and her observations based on the mundanities of life or the reminiscences of childhood.
Marian Pashley tour dates
The comedian formerly known as Tinky-Winky in The Teletubbies, 'everyone's favourite compere' Dave Thompson has written for Harry Hill and published a novel.
'His one-liners and bizarre take on the world is genuinely laugh-out-loud material, such is his following that he has become a cult with students' (Funhouse Comedy).
