Clovis Nicolas Quartet

French bassist Clovis Nicolas has been living and working in New York for fifteen years. His warm and precise sound gained him a solid reputation on the international scene and led to performances with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Jeremy Pelt, Brad Mehldau and Curtis Fuller.

Clovis just released his second album “Freedom Suite Ensuite” for Sunnyside, featuring drummer Kenny Washington, which was awarded CHOC in Jazz Magazine, 5 stars in JazzNews, Album of the week on FIP Radio.. A tribute to Sonny Rollins’ legendary ‘Freedom Suite’.

The lineup for this gig will feature a stellar band composed of English men Steve Fishwick on trumpet and Matt Fishwick on drums, as well as Russian/American alto saxophone sensation Dmitry Baevsky, plus band leader Clovis Nicolas on bass.
