The Actor's Wheel

This Summer sees the dynamic training company The Actor’s Wheel travel across UK for their third national tour. This year it’s Kafka’s The Trial adapted by Steven Berkoff.

The Trial promises to be a visually striking production of Kafka’s infamous literary classic, painting a dark, kaleidoscopic, absurdist world, which questions our freedom, explores our paranoia, examines the human condition and challenges our perceptions of guilt.

Steven Berkoff’s visceral adaptation is brought to life by a dynamic and vibrant ensemble in this highly physical, and mind boggling production, the actors are all at the end of their training with us and are preparing to take the next step into the profession on completion of the tour.

This is the fifth year of the now very popular Actor’s Wheel touring work, with the company visiting a range of venues regionally, nationally and internationally as part of their training. Lead by industry professionals based at Plymouth Marjon University, this extraordinary training company has had resounding success in earlier UK tours years with The Caucasian Chalk Circle and A Clockwork Orange.
