Never miss another 'Sarah Blasko' show
Sarah Blasko, Emma Gatrill
"An intimate exploration of desire haunted by a sense of deep disquiet"
"sublime vulnerability with a dark undercurrent" - Guardian
Sarah Blasko, one of Austrailia's most influential contemporary artists, announces a return to the UK for two rare shows.
Following the release of her sixth studio album Depth of Field on February 23rd, this extraordinary, unsettling and betwitching musician and singer will perform solo for the first time in the UK.
This event takes place at Islington Assembly Hall, which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Gloriously-attired former frontwoman of Acquiesce. The antipodean indie pop princess has been making waves since the 2004 release of her debut album, 'The Overture and Underscore', a definitively intimate instant classic that preceded her equally successful 'What the Sea Wants, The Sea Gets' and 2009's 'As Day Follows Night', an especially narrative and romantically autobiographical progression in her stunning songwriting career. Her 2013 masterpiece ‘I Awake’, meanwhile, superbly utilizes the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra to enhance the transition in mood and tone of her dramatic folk mysticism.

Emma is an unstoppable and multi-instrumental collaborator. As well as being a full time musician with the multi-tentacled psych-folk behemoth Sons of Noel and Adrian and getting crowds dancing to the rowdy stamp-along anthems of The Mariner's Children, she has found time to lend her voice, clarinet or accordion skills to everyone from Laura Marling to Broken Social Scene.
