Pennyroyal
James and Laura broke up. Not uncommon after going through something like that.
After a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Asa Nisi Masa bring Pennyroyal to The Hope Theatre for five nights only. Pennyroyal is a darkly comic story about relationships, mistakes and what it is to be a man.
What happens when a couple move in together, and they expect everything to remain the same? Things change within the relationship, just by living together - roles and responsibilities shift - and what if you're not ready to deal with that?
James is recently single and nearly thirty, trying to make his way in the world. He masks his social discomfort with a macabre sense of humour, and his fear of fatherhood with an insidious caring. Join him on his journey through Dublin streets looking for a sense of meaning in the empty nights of dating and distracting booze.
"…illuminating and exhilarating…Refreshingly candid and beautifully written…"

???? “Hearns is infinitely believable and tragically fragile” British Theatre Guide
???? “Enchanting, thought-provoking, relaxing, and disturbing…it even comes with a cup of mint tea” Broadway Baby
