Cat - The Play
Cat (the play) a comedy by Richard Hardwick and Jamie Beamish. Performed by Richard Hardwick.
Cat (the play) is the tale of ‘Dave the Cat’, who tells you in his own words how he was sacked from the original production of that famous musical Cats on opening night and has never quite recovered.
As he stands on stage in his ‘magnificent’ cat costume, he lets us into a world of backstage drama, romance and intrigue, but as his story unfolds that world becomes a much darker place.
Following acclaimed productions in London, Edinburgh, Belfast and Leicester Curve, Cat (the play) comes to The Hope Theatre with co-writer and original star Richard Hardwick in its original production for two performances only.
Featuring songs 'supposedly' cut from some of your favourite ALW shows, Cat (the play) also contains high kicks, swearing and a lot of lycra.
*Cat (the play) is a work of fiction, satire, parody and affection.
It is in no way associated with the musical Cats or The Really Useful Group Ltd.
