Quentin Collins, Brandon Allen

Classic jazz trumpet tunes by Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Clifford Brown, Louis Armstrong and Lee Morgan re-worked for this London Jazz Festival gig by some of the leading lights of the UK jazz scene. The Quentin Collins/Brandon Allen Quartet are one of best contemporary jazz outfits in the UK, fronted by Collins on trumpet, and Allen on saxophone and they are joined for this gig by trumpet sensation Byron Wallen. In the past decade Byron has performed with a host of jazz legends including Bobby McFerrin, Sam Rivers and world music artists Baaba Maal and Cheikh-Lo.
