D'Influence

Purveyors of the finest UK Streetsoul since 1989, including 'Hypnotize’ and ‘Rock With You’ are back and bringing their fresh and timeless sound to live audiences through the summer of 2017.

Hideaway is delighted to welcome D’Influence just a week after their main stage debut at the Love Supreme Festival. This British production team and Acid Jazz were initially signed to The Echo Label, before founding Freakstreet Records.

They have produced hits for British R&B artists Mark Morrison (Return of the Mack), Shola Ama (Much Love) and Ultra Naté (New Kind of Medicine); remixed for the American hip hop artist Jay-Z (Wishing on a Star, Bring It On: The Best of Jay-Z); and performed live with Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk (Later with Jools Holland). In the 1990s the band supported Michael Jackson, Prince and James Brown himself.

Their live shows have always been soul heavy affairs - wedged neatly between the early house explosion and the late '90s hip-hop golden age, there was the UK Acid Jazz and The Soul Explosion!
