This event has been and gone.
Starring Jonny Woo, John Sizzle, Ma Butcher and stars of The Glory, Man Up and Lipsync 1000, The Glory shifts its legendary Halloween party to the stunning Hackney Empire for its first large-scale drag ball.
Following Gay Bingo‘s notorious 10th birthday in 2013 and Jonny Woo‘s three successive Un-Royal Variety performances, it’s now an annual tradition for East London’s gay glitterati to storm the auditorium. The very best of The Glory’s roster of super talented drag queens and kings will be headed by the now veteran of the Hackney Empire stage, Jonny Woo, the sexational John Sizzle and being brought back from an exile too long, Gay Bingo’s very own Ma Butcher. They said it wouldn’t happen, but amongst the glorious witchery, Gay Bingo is going to have a live ‘Res-Erection‘.
Expect phantasmagorical routines from the queens, warlocks and wizardry from our reigning kings and of course all the inappropriate fabulousness that is the legendary Gay Bingo with added spooky DJ action. This will be a Halloween for all queens to remember and guests are encouraged to dress up and win prizes for best dressed in Halloween drag.
Book your tickets now; it’s going to be a blood-curdling riot!

'Unique performance artist Jonny Woo has been instrumental in bringing alternative drag and cabaret to mainstream audiences. Disciplined in theatre and dance and inspired by New York performers his work is arresting, provocative, unpredictable and highly entertaining. Critically acclaimed and in high demand by nightclubs and corporations alike, Woo's work if not his presence at events alone, transcends definitions of high and low art' (Institute of Contemporary Arts).

London’s hottest queer musical sketch comedy quartet are here to flame on your parade – and they’re serving sex, drugs and spangled satire. Sex Shells is an explosion of original music, surreal sketches, wayward choreography, and twisted rewrites of all your favourite hits from pop, Disney, and Broadway. Chemsex, misogyny, trans rights, bodysnatching – the Shells tackle ’em all with filthy flair and pornographic panache. Expect Whitney Houston at the self-service checkout, Barbara Cartland on Grindr, Chicago on chems, sequinned feminist sedition… and some very chatty cigarettes. Rescued from a dank Dalston basement by Jonny Woo in 2014, they’ve since stormed Latitude, Brighton Pride, the Mighty Hoopla, and the National Theatre’s River Stage, and their regular sell-out shows at gay superpub The Glory have become legendary. They burned the Edinburgh Fringe to the ground this year, and now they are coming for YOU.

Sooz Kempner did her very first stand-up gig in 2009 and in April 2010 entered the Musical Comedy Awards where she was named Best Newcomer. 2010 also marked her graduation from the Royal Academy of Music. In 2016 Sooz decided to be certifiably insane and take not one but two new solo shows to the fringe - Queen and A Bit Of A Character. 2017 sees her fifth solo show, Sooz On Film, going to the fringe and it's her most ambitious hour yet! 'Quirky style and knockout voice' (Chortle) 'Stand out performances from...Best Newcomer Sooz Kempner with her fantastically topical celebrity songs' (Three Weeks) '... a lot of fun... charmingly self-deprecating...' (Diva Magazine) 'A voice like an angel – could Sooz be the female answer to Tim Minchin?' (Funny Women).
