This event has been and gone.
Following a sold-out run at the iconic Royal Albert Hall last year with comedic genius Jon Stewart, the Mark Twain award-winning comedian Dave Chappelle makes his triumphant return to the UK this June to perform at London’s Adelphi Theatre and Hackney Empire.
The internationally recognised stand-up comedian and actor’s trademark wit and sharp, irreverent social commentary explores race, popular culture, sex, drugs, politics, and fame. Arguably the most-touring comic on the circuit, Chappelle has performed more than 1,600 concerts worldwide in the past four years, selling out shows within minutes of their announcements.
Dave Chappelle is an American comedian, screenwriter, television and film producer, and actor. He is best known for his Comedy Central sketch series Chappelle's Show, and for acting in films such as Robin Hood: Men in Tights, The Nutty Professor, You've Got Mail and Con Air. In 2005, Chappelle walked away from his groundbreaking sketch comedy show, Chappelle’s Show on Comedy Central. During the 8 years that followed, he performed pop-up stand-up dates, made occasional television appearances, and toured extensively throughout the United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada and Australia. From intimate comedy clubs to theatre's and arenas, Chappelle’s live performances often sold out within minutes of being announced. Comedy Central ranks Chappelle as Number 43 of the “100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time.”
